An Ankle Brace for an Accident in Scotland


When on holiday in Scotland, I twisted my ankle on a day trip. We were hiking in the Scottish Highlands, which had always been a dream of mine, but I guess I got a bit ahead of myself. I am not a hiker, not remotely. And I found it hard to keep up with our nice but annoying trail guide, who had that same sort of ebullient personality you find in many aerobics instructors.

Still, the expedition was quite nice, and the guide really seemed to know her stuff. We walked in the footsteps of Roy Roy and examined the unspoiled wilderness and I took in the fresh air and the pristine wilderness.

Then it happened... I twisted my ankle on a slight declination. It was funny, I suppose, because it was on the last leg of our journey and everyone seemed in high spirits and we were all quite relaxed. Then I went down like a sack of potatoes and they had to carry me the rest of the way. After it happened, the guide attempted to put an ankle brace on me (apparently these things happen quite frequently), buy my ankle was far too tender (more...)
